The scale was down today :D This is my ‘official’ weigh-in day for WW even though I do it everyday on the Wii.
Anyway, my WW drop was 2 lbs (w00t!) since last week’s weigh-in. So that’s a grand total of 1 lb over all. For someone who loses weight as fast as a turtle moves, this is great.

I can’t help but think that if I had been smarter over the weekend what the difference would have been. I’m pretty much scheduled for a complete repeat of last weekend this upcoming weekend so let’s see if I can do better.
Big challenge next week: Traveling. I’ll be on business travel from Monday night until Thursday. Last time, I was eating fast food and not caring about it. This time, I need to look into healthy options before I go out.

So I did great last week, great up until yesterday where I have what can only be described as a complete diet meltdown. The issue? Mini-bagels and low-fat cream cheese which appear to be not such a big deal until you add it up. So even with the hour of tennis, the scale was up .9lbs this morning.
Granted, the hour of tennis was followed by a 30 minute gorge fest of cheese and cheese puffs…
So my two areas of problems are:
- Bagels in the office. So tasty, free and my favorite food.
- The post-tennis hang out, which always involves cheese in some way.
The solution for next time:
- Have 1/4 to 1/2 of a bagel with a tablespoon of cream cheese. Then walk back to your desk, eat it and then get a stick of gum to prevent going back.
- Bring your own snack to post-tennis. Veggie or fruit and then sit AWAY from all the other tasty snacks.

Smaller steps
When I realized that I had to change my goal from losing 30lbs to 40lbs, it seemed insurmountable. So I decided I’d start smaller. I’ve lost 30lbs already but I’ve been struggling the past year and slowly sliding back towards the higher end of the scale.
Anyway, goal is simple. Lose 20 lbs, around 4 to 5lbs a month, by my 30th birthday on October 11th.
