I moved in a couple days ago and it feels great! Slowly but surely I’m getting it dialed in, room by room.

All systems are go for closing! In 3 weeks, I’ll be a homeowner again.
After 5 days of going back and forth, my offer was accepted! No more living like a refugee! In 3 weeks, I’ll be a homeowner again! Wahoo!
I think I’m ready to make an offer. My daughters and I found one that we could call home. The master bedroom has a fireplace that faces both the bedroom and the bathroom (Glass on both sides). I’ve always wanted that feature. Plus, there’ll be room for everybody when they are home from college on breaks. It’s more than I wanted to spend but WTF, I can afford it.
I broke up with my girlfriend of 7+ months last night. After being divorced, I told myself that I was not going to compromise on several key issues. When it became clear that she didn’t want to meet me in the middle, I had no choice.
Life is too short to not get what you want. But man, is it painful!
I’ve decompressed from my divorce and have decided that I want to stay in town. I love my life here. I’m close to friends, Seattle and Portland, and many activities that I love to do. Plus, it’ll be nice for my girls to have a home base when they’re visiting from college.
The downturn in the real estate market makes it pretty attractive. It’s kind of cool how I sold my last house at the top of the market (without a realtor) and am now ready to jump back into it at a low. As Borat would say, “Very nice!”
I took Tuesday off and skied some beautiful powder. The weather was a little rough but the snow was perfect. No lines. A few cold ones in the lodge afterwards with my buddies. Tough to beat.
So I plunked down $ for a season pass good through next year, bought skis and poles, and am now looking to go every chance I get between now and the end of the season. My original goal was 4 trips but why stop now? I’m hooked and I need my fix! I hope my girlfriend understands. Oh well, I’ve been single before. LMAO!
It wan’t officially on my list but I had been thinking about it. I went for a 2 hour tour around Boston Harbor today . Definitely fun and I plan to do it again. I was a little shaky at first but once I got my balance figured out, I cruised pretty well.
I went with my buddies and we’re planning a few more practice runs before a summer camping trip to Hope Island.
White Pass was great yesterday! Not as good as sex, but getting up near the top of the list. I can’t believe that I denied myself this simple pleasure for so many years. I guess the numbness of marriage kept me sedated. LMAO!
Going again soon. Crystal Mountain, here I come!
It was even better the second time! I’m going to try to get there at least two more times before the end of the season. Hopefully next Sunday. The new boots I bought really helped too. Money well spent!
The time between the Super Bowl and opening day is just brutal, other than March Madness. NBA, yaaaaaawwwwwwwwnnnnnnn. NHL, boring! NASCAR, just can’t watch. I need some baseball and nice weather!!!
Maybe next year.
Received a mailer from the local Parks & Rec Department and they have a couple trips lined up this Spring. One of my buddies is interested so now, I just need to get off my butt and sign up. With all the snow we’ve had, the runoff should be tremendous.
Saw the Truckers in Seattle last night. Not sure how but I was in the front row, looking up at Mike Cooley all night! Shonna’s pretty cute too. They really kicked ass!!!!!!! A hard rocking night to say the least.
Not sure who’s up next. Guess I need to give it a rest and hit the slopes while the snow is here.
Saw the dynamic accoustic duo in Portland last Friday. What a show! So much energy and passion! I would definitely love to see them again. On to my next show! Saturday, the Drive-By Truckers in Seattle.
Saw Spike and the Impalers Saturday and man did they kick ass! A very fun show and some talented musicians. I needed a cigarette after Layla! But, I don’t smoke so….........
A daunting task to say the least! And my CD collection is only 200 or so. But, I’ll be happy to have all of my music on one device.
I’m going to see Rodrigo y Gabriela next month in Portland. I saw them at Bumbershoot in September and I’ve never heard Stairway or Metallica’s One played with so much passion. It was just two people with accoustic guitars. Of course they play like they’re possessed.
Plus Gab’s a babe!
After 23 years, it was just like riding a bike. I’m sure that the new ski technology helped a bit. I am really tired and will probably be pretty sore tomorrow.
I can’t wait to go again!
I have a fast car and I would like to learn how to really drive it. Of course I’ll need to invest in a good radar detector….
I was going to try this a long time ago, and yet again last summer. I let life get in the way. It looks fun!
