Its been over three years since I first started this list but I’ve gotten a few things done.
I made a trek through Europe for 6 weeks with my best friend and brother in 2005. I also returned for a special trip with another friend through Germany that I had to skip on my previous visit later that year.
In 2006, I joined the Peace Corps and was stationed in a country in Southern Africa. Living in a country is so much different than just simply touching down in its surface. It changes you as a person. I see things differently and have a better idea of what I want out of life.
That being said, I still do want to visit every continent…even more so than before. After I finished my service in 2008, I traveled for a few months in Egypt, China, and Mongolia. Some of the most different places from home and Botswana as one could possible get.

So, what’s next? Australia, Antarctica, and South America are still on my list. Its a good thing I plan on living a long life.

I have joined a system that automatically reminds me of people’s birthdays and that has been a good way to keep track of people and just say hi to them on their special day. I’ve been good so far with only missing those people I don’t have email addresses for but the follow up is still lagging and I want to be able to actually keep in contact with people on a regular basis, especially with moving to another country with limited ways of communication.
