So I decided to move off campus in my final year of college, just to get away from everything. It was also better for me financially so that was a bonus. However, my housemate is such a meanie!
She always slams her door whenever she enters her room or the bathroom. To me that’s SO unnecessary! Like what nonverbal message are u sending to me. Im not gonna come in ur room or anything. It’s like she shutting me out so to speak. Or she’s expressing her resentment towards me for what reason i dont know because we arent chums! Then there’s the issue with the trash. She rarely takes out the trash. Another nonverbal cue that she’s too dainty for that and that i should do it. I like a clean home so Im not gonna leave the garbage sitting there for days. I wont lose any blood if i simply empty the trash! Then she barely speaks to me. Not that i care but common courtesies at least? is that too much to ask?? If i say hi she will but other than that NOTHING. Am asking for too much, or is she just the worst house mate ever. The only good thing about her is that she shares her stuff which doesnt make any sense. (sigh)
I CANT WAIT TO LEAVE!!!!

How I did it: I always wanted to travel first class on a plane, but I wasnt going out of my way to do it. I was just hoping for some random act to occur and it did. I was on my way to D.C. and I was bumped up to first class on an overbooked flight! I was deleriously happy and everyone was looking jealous! I felt regal!!! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I stopped thinking about how other people would view me. I tried to be bubbly and cheery...without being borderline fake. I had smile on my face even if others didnt smile back. I tried to use intonnations and inflections when speaking instead of one flat monotone. spread optimism! I tried to brighten people's day. I wore bright pieces. they're eye-catchy! Over the weekend my friend took me to this Ethiopian restaurant. It was really a refreshing difference from the typical chinese take out or Mcdonalds lol. I had lamb and their special bread…twas scrumptious! I also learnt that they eat with their hands!
I’ve learned many things in life. One of them being that you dont have to be considered a person’s bff for them to be yours. While minding my own business and carrying on with life in walked this girl called Juanita. We both have a biology class together but never interacted until recently. We clicked immediately and have been enjoying each other’s company ever since. Even though we just met she calls me alot. At first I was weirded out about it cause she called me every day but she has expressed that she really wants to be great friends. She is an amazing person and Im looking forward to great things!
