I’ve finished my first 2 batches of beer, and now am working on 3 more batches (in various stages of brewing). So far, I really like how my first two batches turned out.

Only advice I can give is to make sure your green beer tastes atleast like weak flat beer before you bottle, which imparts a huge amount of the flavor’s maturity- oh, and don’t bottle it if it tastes like crap already…

Went last Wednesday to the Kansas City show, and it was fantastic. Rilo Kiley opened, kinda a different sound, but a reasonable opener, and then Coldplay rocked it up after an hour of prep time. They sounded pretty damn good- I got snuck into the reserve section and loved it.

Besides playing all the radio hits, they played a few others, including a unique rendition of Ring of Fire (Til Kingdom Come is a n ode to Johnny Cash). Anyway- it was fantastic…

I went to Austin for spring break with a good friend. Neither of us realized that SXSW was the week BEFORE we came, but we still had a ton of fun in that city. Austin kicks butt! I totally dig the idea of going out there for the concerts- though the price is pretty high. We’ll see…
