We moved, started new jobs, met new people, learned new things. I’m not as afraid of change as I used to be. I think this was a great way to challenge myself.

How I did it: First I took a beginning sewing class which taught me to read patterns. We made a very hideous skirt and shirt combo. (I couldn't help but wonder what they would do if a male signed up for the class)Then, I found out I was pregnant a few months later. I picked a difficult pattern by Vogue and sewed my daughter's baby bedding, curtains, diaper organizer, etc. It was great! I’ve been busy with tons of other things lately, too. I am going to have to try again this year. Instead of reaching a quota, I think that I will just try to keep track of all of the books that I do read each year. I enjoy looking back and remembering.
My wonderful husband bought me sewing classes for my big Christmas gift this year. The glasses start in February, and will only have 5 or 6 people in them. I can’t wait to get comfortable with my machine and with using patterns. Project Runway here I come…(haha)
