Dizziwish gave me a fabulous idea that I had not thought of…

I had been wanting to make a specific baby blanket for a friend or loved one for YEARS…it is cross-stitched babies with the poem, Monday’s Child over each baby. So it is actually 7 cross-stitch patterns. I wanted to cross-stitch the babies and then wait for the day the child was born. Pick the baby that looked the most like their child…and after it was born put the line for the day they were born on it along with their name and birthday. That square would go in the center, then the rest would go around it and be either crocheted together or sown together and quilted to make it soft.

I was lamenting the fact that i had never gotten it done, and she said why don’t I do it for my grandkids! That is such a wonderful idea that i had not thought of. I am so excited about this.

This website has several classics listed with download sites. Once again, this will make my goal easier. I am pleased.
