This is my latest song. It is talking about how the way you look and what you have doesn’t limit what you can do. The first verse is talking about a girl that is probably around the elementary/middle school ages. The second verse is talking about a boy who is somewhere over 16. The third verse is talking about… well… me. Ofcourse I am not a rockstar, but I wrote this song as if I was one and was talking about my past which is actually now.

This is a story about a girl
Her hair was all ratty
Her clothes would make you hurl
Her teeth were rotting her nails were spotting
And her life was living itself well
One day a boy asked her out at school
He thought she was funny
She thought he was cool
How could she resist?
She said yes ofcourse
Then her knight in shining armor rode her away on his horse
(Chorus)
Looks don’t matter nomatter
What you say
Beautiful or ugly, it doesn’t matter
Anyway
When you look at the mirror remember your beautiful
When you next find out how
‘Not like her’ you are
Throw it away
Just throw it away
Throw it away
Just throw it away
Beautiful or ugly, I look at you as a whole
But remember one little thiong
I will always look for what’s in the soul
This is a story about a boy
His house wasn’t big
He was unemployed
His clothes were not good quality
His body wasn’t functioning like it was s’posed to be
And his life was living itself well
One day with his voice he sang a song
Some companies saw him
They thought he was the bomb
Now look on tv
Guess what you see
That unemployed boy you thought you knew
Is a rockstar who can sing
(Chorus x2)
(Music while saying whats in he soul over and over)
(This whole verse quiet until the last 2 lines)
This is a story about a girl
Her arms were scary
Her hair was a swirl
Her schoolwork was great
But she had never even had a date
And her life was living itself well
One day that girl was in a play
Some directors saw her
So they said okay
Now look at that tv
Yeah that’s what you see
That nerdy scary goody goody girl
Was me!
(Chorus x3)
(Music with whats in the soul over and over)
(Chorus)
(Just music)
I will always look for what’s in the soul
To write a good story, you really need to outline. Yes I know, “I don’t have to…” “It’s just a waist of my time…” Well you do have to if you want a good story, and it is not a waist of time. If you go on ahead with your story with ideas coming this way and that, it will ruin your story. I used to think it was a waist of time until I actually used an outline, and it worked out alot better. But I will tell you this, the worst thing about writing, is that you have to kill your children. Meaning that sometimes, though you don’t want to, you might have to cancel out a couple ideas you had in order to make it a better story. And always write a rough draf, edit thoroughly, write a couple more rough drafts editting every time so you can make your story as perfect as possible, then you should write your final draft.
