What a great language!

Well I finally bought and started reading the Pragmatic book and I am just so impressed with this language so far. My first OO language was Java and it was fine but I can’t go back now. Everything in Ruby is an object and it really makes the language so much more intuitive. The block features of Ruby are especially awesome… I still have a lot of learning to do so I would like to start working my way through the problems posted on rubyquiz.com.

Usually getting a new book on a subject gives me a good start so I just ordered Hillegass’ book from Amazon. I already know C pretty well and I have followed the simple currency converter tutorial from the Apple site so I’m on my way!
