About 3 weeks ago, I drove to minnesota from Salt Lake City, UT and back. That was 3000 miles. I did quite a bit of driving while I was up there, adding another 600 miles. The rest of it was a serious amount of running around and getting shit done in 2 days. I learned to love myself on that large amount of miles, get closer in tune with my car, and realize that I can fall in love again.

So here’s my motivation. Recently, I had spent every bit of money I had but $10 which was in my checking account. I pulled it out and had to live on it for 3 weeks. I also had just gotten a job, so I knew that I would have a bit of money coming in after these 3 weeks. 21 days is a good length of time to stretch $10, but at the end of it, I knew a couple of ways that I could go longer than 21 days with only $10. So here’s my stipulations:
The only things that don’t count for this are:
Bills (phone, electricity, water, rent, etc.)
Gas for my car
Things that count as spending money:
Anything else not in the above list
Here’s the only thing I get to do before hand: buy food for the month. It has to be purchased before or on the last day of the previous month (so if I wanted to do this for January, December 31st would be the last day I can buy food and not be penalized for it).
Here’s some other rules:
I can’t borrow money.
I can’t ask people to buy me anything.
I can’t use the money I have to make more money.\
I can’t do this in the month of February. It has 3-4 less days than all other months.
After calculating it, each day I’m technically allotted 33 cents. Can you live on just 33 cents a day for an entire month?
