I thought that Casa Loma wouldn’t interest me that much, but we ended up spending most of the day there. There is a subway station a handful of blocks away, so you can walk there if you are coming from one of the hotel districts. It’s in a residential district, so there’s not much around to eat except for the deli in Casa Loma’s basement. The deli is good, but it accepts cash only, although I think there is an ATM upstairs in the lobby near the ticket window. Make sure that you don’t miss the stables and greenhouse which are a couple of blocks away but which can be accessed via an underground tunnel from the basement of the house. The turrets of the house are worth going into if you are not afraid of heights and if there isn’t a crowd there. Otherwise, you could pass on them.
