How I did it: My friend needed my help to build an alien spaceship interior overnight for a internet comedy short company. It ended up being a funny music video starring Donald Faison from scrubs. The whole crew was really cool, including Donald. He even helped us load our car after we were done. He even took us to the nearby bar and bought us all drinks. It was sweet. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I hated camping due to experiences as a kid, but I gave it another chance because my boyfiend likes it and he is awesome. So we booked a campground up at Huntington Lake, CA. How I did it: I was directed by one of my instructors to someone at The Art Directors Guild. I wrote an email volunteering myself, and kept following up. The lady then left the guild but finally forwarded my emails to a higher-up and they finally had a spot. I helped one day and they liked me, so I got to stay. Now I help coordinate the art gallery.
