This year the pups went as Goldi-Dox and the Three Bears! They even won the Group Ensemble category in the costume contest. Awesome! There were a few issues with the costumes I made this year. Duly noted, though.

I actually completed a goal I listed on 43 Things – I’m so excited!
I have 2 dogs and my dad has 2 dogs, and we decided they would go as the Incredibles. I sent away for a dog clothes pattern to help me out, but it was back ordered, so I had to come up with the pattern myself. It only took a couple of weeks of sizing and tweaking, but I finally got it (close enough anyway). It was so much fun and we got nothing but compliments at the Howl-O-Weenie Festival. I can’t wait to do this again!
The first time I tried it was on my trip to Vancouver. I didn’t much like what I had then. However, not letting that stop me, I kept trying different rolls and actually found a few I really like. My favs so far are the Philadelphia (or bagel) roll, shrimp tempura roll and the yum-yum roll. I also tried the rainbow roll and it was pretty good. I’ll try almost any food once.
