So I’m still learning alot, but having my 1st garden has been really cool so far. I haven’t actually harvested anything, but the kale is coming along nicely, as are the beets, tomatoes, and summer squash. I’m already thinking about things that I would change for next year (like the layout of the garden) and about ways to improve the soil this fall. It’s a good start to many good things to come. And it’s a sustainable and economically sound way to get really good, fresh food. Cheers to all who are growing things!

Bought my first house
Well, after alot of hemming and hawing with the seller, home inspections, credit checks, etc., etc. I bought my 1st house in May of this year. It needs a lot of work still, so now I’m keeping busy with the upgrades and repairs, but at least I’m not paying rent anymore! And I finally have a place that I can call my own and can transform into a really sweet home.

I want to be able to build furniture for my house. I’ve always loved woodworking, and I think I could make some really nice pieces…with a little help from my dad.
