I recently quit smoking and think that I could build the stamina to get in shape. I need to lose 40 lbs, but my focus is to be tone and build a little muscle. I am starting to walk everyday and have noticed some improvement. I cannot afford a gym membership right now, so any suggestions would be helpful! :)

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had! If you get the chance to do, DO IT!!! I would do it again in a heartbeat! :)
Words of advice:
Get a Eurail pass. Try to take overnight trains when ever possible. It may cost a little extra, but it saves you a lot of time and you don’t have to pay for a hostel that night.
Try to have accomodations set up before you reach your destinations. It saves a lot of time and agrivation.
Have an itinerary of where you want to go but don’t be afraid to change it while you are there. You’ll be meeting other people who tell you about the other cool places to go and things to do.
Don’t drink too much. You won’t remember as much and it makes you a perfect target to become a victim of crime.
