Howard Dean was in Durham a few months back to give a speech just prior to the State of the Union address. Awesome fun! His speech almost made up for the awful one directly afterwards.

I ran for Chapel Hill Town Council last fall. It was likely the most interesting and educational experience of my life, and though I lost, I think I contributed something positive to the political discourse of this town.
I was surprised at how easy and much fun blogging can me. As someone who’s been designing for the web since ‘97 and programming since the year after, I thought blogs would be “way below me” and completely uninteresting – a novice’s approach to web publishing. Turns out they’re pretty cool.
