I think it’s important to continually get out of the comfort zone and try new things…maybe even fail a bit! It’s all part of the process…

How I did it: I signed up in Phuket, Thailand and they were very knowledgeable since I had never done it before. I got a dive book, DVD, and personalized attention which really helped to master the skills necessary for diving on my own. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Well, I would say major in something you actually enjoy learning about because it will be much easier to go to class and succeed. Most of the time teachers put the notes on powerpoint online to download which is really helpful. Read how I did it…
Last year I flew my first plane. It was a bit scary at first not really knowing what I was doing but the co-pilot talked me through it all and it went really well. Ever since then I have wanted to get my pilot’s license so that I can fly a plane on my own whenever I want. It’s an expensive hobby, but hey you only live once!
After completing my first marathon last May 2007 in Colorado I decided that instead of just training for another one I made the goal of combining it with my passion for travel. In doing so I decided what a great a idea it would be to run a marathon on every continent. So far I am set to run the Athens Marathon in Greece seeing as how that’s where the allure of the sport originated. I also plan to run the Great Wall of China Marathon in China as well. As for the other ones I have yet to decide but that will be the fun part of planning and ultimately executing this “marathon” of a goal.
