about a little over a year ago i decided to read everything out there known to man about nutrition and the effects of food on the body and mind. i had been lactose intolerant for years and had health problems. after so much reading i couldnt think about eating meat or anything else that came from animals. i couldnt even look at it. No wonder i was sick! so i just stopped cold turkey. no meat, fish, dairy or eggs. i lost weight, my skin looked amazing and best of all… no health problems! everything went away. it was great! but everyone kept telling me i was nuts and that i needed animal protein. I started training for a marathon and my trainer was adamant about animal protein being the most important thing to help me so i thought about it and tried eating meat. i felt so sick! my body felt like really nausious and the heatlh problems returned. turns out my health problems were related to meat. so i stopped one again and will never go back. I encourage everyone who wants to go vegan to do it for themselves and not listen to what others say. this is your body and you have to take care of it while you have it.

next week will be a month of becomming a vegan. my body is changing n my weight has dropped ALOT. I feel really good though. My appetite has increased but I no longer have those cravings that used to drive me before. I hope everyone is doing good… it’s hard but I hear once you pass the detox phase it’s alot better on the other side
hi. i’ve been vegan for almost 2 weeks now. i feel kinda drained. My boss who’s vegan said i’m going thru the detox phase and that it can last a couple days or even a week. great. =( I wasnt really a meat eater before. I’ve seen chickens and pigs killed when i was small and i couldnt eat them after that. even red meat was rare. then growing up i learned that i was lactose intolerant. so i started letting that go too. I figured. hey. why not become vegan. i’ve lost the taste already for meat and dairy and eggs. and i absolutly love veggies. it hasnt been that hard for me. but this detox thing sucks! does anyone have advice on it?
