I just found out about NaNoWriMo today, so I signed up today for this year. I am at a disadvantage because I already lost 10 days that I could have had to do this, but I love to type :D and I have a ton of ideas in my head all the time, so I’m sure I can still manage to do it. :)

How I did it: I first came up with the general idea. I picked the music to pair up with the cartoon, because I knew I wanted it to be a musical short with no voices since I was opting for a classic feel. I then designed the characters, using MS Paint since I work best when doodling when using a mouse rather than pen and paper. Then, I took the rough design idea and smoothed out the edges to create the final characters. I created a simp… Read how I did it…
I finally finished my first short cartoon. I made it with MS Paint, Paint Shop Pro, and Windows Movie Maker. It’s called The Cupcake Topper :)
I read the latest book based on the Monk TV series, Mr. Monk is Miserable. I love the Monk books almost more than the television show itself. The secondary characters seem to have more defined personalities in the books.
This book takes place right after the last book, and like the last one, has Monk visiting another country (this time he’s in France). These are my favorite Monk stories. Even the television episode where Mr. Monk goes to Mexico (which was written by the author of the Monk books) is among my favorites. It’s always great to see Monk cope with his phobias when he is in a foreign environment.
