My husband has always been the one to make this delicious stuff. I got to make it this time and had a blast following the recipe in the fantabulous Moosewood Cookbook. The sherry & soy sauce just make it yummy. Perfect on a fall evening with some good whole grain bread and a glass of Guinness.

I tried to make Turkish Delight for my daughters years ago-they loved the Narnia movies and wanted some. It was very difficult and I just found out it is much better to go someplace like Pike Place Market (where you can find the real thing) and buy some really good Turkish Delight from someone who knows how to make it. Yum-eat the rosewater flavor. Like eating roses.
Yes, I am addicted to coffee. If I don’t have coffee by about 7 A.M., the headache comes. Also, because I taught for a while and I already naturally have a 3 P.M. slump, I have to have coffee mid-afternoon. With all this coffee, I need to drink even more water than the average person! I’m flushing out all my liquids. It helps when I fill up a big water bottle and vow to drink it down by the end of the day—better yet if I do two bottles full (64 oz).
