But I think that was because I did it sitting on my couch, with my laptop. If I’d been at my desktop, with my mouse, drag and drop would have been much quicker than using my touchpad.
I had thousands of pics to sort into new folders—but the steady progress you make provides its own motivation. One of the most difficult sections was my “misc.” folder. Now there are about 100 items in there, which I think is a good size for a misc. folder – not 1500 items!
I found it helpful to create a new folder for as few as 10 related images. Find your own minimum # and work from there.

This is much simpler than you might think. You can download a form from: http://www.doyourownwill.com/lwindex.asp

This is taking sooooo much longer than I thought. I’ve recently realized that I have almost double the number of CDs I thought I did.
It is giving me a chance to re-organize them (I’d just been sticking all recent purchases at the end, since I neglected to leave room in my alpha-by-artist system for new arrivals). I’m also pulling out all the DVDs that came with the CDs—most I’ve never watched.
