How I did it: I kept him awake an hour later everyday until we were on normal hours. Then I set the alarm for 8 AM every morning. If he wakes up at the same time he'll nap at the same time. If he wakes up from his nap at the same time he'll go to bed at the same time. Waking up at a consistent time seems so obvious now but everybody was telling me consistent bedtime. Read how I did it…

My son had surgery in the crotchal area 2 months ago. That completely changed everything. I had to keep him in diapers (cloth with safety pins so he couldn’t open them) so he wouldn’t poke at his incision for 2 weeks. He doesn’t stay dry at night anymore. It’s like starting over.

If I angle the door so he can see himself in the mirror, he stays on the can. He thinks it’s funny. He doesn’t climb on the sink and play with things when I do that. I also discovered that if he’s not wearing anything, he’s more likely to ask to be taken to the bathroom.

I’m almost up to 14,000 words. um go me!?

I told spousal unit I wanted to quit and he suggested I try for 30,000 words. I think I’ll do that. So I guess I’m having a mini nanowrimo now.

This was so much easier when I had a desk. My son won’t let me open the laptop at all during the day and I’ve been falling asleep before him lately.

I’m only up to 5,447 words so far. I just have to do 1,937 a day to get to 50,000
