I only made it 2 weeks

I made it two weeks and it felt really good. Then I took the kids to visit grandparents and I fell off the wagon. I learned that in order to do it, you have to stay home and away from everyone else. It is too tempting to go out to eat, etc., when you are with others.

I did this yesterday for the first time - saved $56

I went on a massive grocery run yesterday. I have another goal to only buy necessities for the month of March so I had to stock up on my non-perishable foods. I have been cutting coupons for a couple of weeks and used them for the first time yesterday. I saved $56 and got $406 worth of groceries for $350. My plan is to use coupons each shopping trip now. Then, when I get home from my shopping trips, I will take the amount that I saved and transfer from my checking to my savings. Then once a year, use it to splurge on a weekend getaway.

Starting today for March

I am going to try to go through March with only buying necessities. I did a massive grocery run yesterday and plan to only buy perishables for the rest of the month. Wish me luck!
