If you want to programm online or intranet stuff learn php, it’s really very easy – for beginners you dont’t need difficult things like classes and the whole OOP-stuff, you can learn it as your first language, but I would say it is better, if you have some basics like in QBASIC, well or JavaScript, so you can get started with your first application, if not then you have to buy some literature, the online media may be a bit “deep” for you then.
The best thing is that PHP integrates so much functions, like support for all databases and nice things like PDF and Image Creation. After a month i would say you can get a semi-pro and 3 month if intensive PHP-ing you can do everything.

Sometimes I really wish I would have more discipline. Riffing the guitar makes so much fun, but how much fun would it make, if I could play a riff like in the master of the puppets at 215 BPM? I hardly get 200 or 190 properly and that without complicated notes, just playing a power chord with some muteing-up. I’m not sure if this is a physical problem (of moving the hands so fast) or one in my mind, but I think more the first, cause I already have large blisters at my thumb.
