I grew up in a middle class NJ suburb and hated it my entire life. I’m going to college in the city now and love it, now I just have to stay here after I graduate.

How I did it: I just kept driving. I started out having friends in the car with me, at least on the highway, and then I started going by myself. Whether I wanted to or not, I would go out at least a few times a week. I made sure to go on the highway as well as driving locally. If a friend wanted to go out somewhere with me, I would volunteer to drive. When I first started driving again, I would just go to the convenience store down the street. Then I we… Read how I did it…
I’ve finally figured out that the only way I’ll keep exercising is to do something I enjoy, so I’ve been looking all over the place for a bicycle. I’m planning on going out really early in the morning for a couple hours, and riding it to the store, friends’ houses, etc. as well.
Besides that, no more sweets and junk food, which is going to be tough. For me it’s not even a matter of keeping them out of the house, because there’s a grocery store around the corner that’s open til midnight – does nothing to help my late night cravings xD It’s going to take some work!
I’ve had moderate acne since I was 11 or 12. Since I started breaking out then, I’ve never been able to completely cure my acne. The best thing I tried was a particular brand of benzoyl peroxide; it kept me 95% clear for about a year, then all of a sudden stopped working and I broke out like crazy.
I’ve tried just about everything else. Store products, natural remedies, etc, nothing works and I don’t understand it. It makes it more challenging to find products since I’m vegan, so I won’t go to a dermatologist either.
Right now I’m trying glycolic acid, homemade avocado face masks, drinking plenty of water and getting lots of sleep. I need to start taking vitamins as well. I’ll see how it goes.
