We just moved to North Carolina, so this is somethig I definitely look forward to doing. I think it will be a good test of physical, mental, and emotional strength and endurance.

postpartum disaster

A few months after giving birth to my son I decided to cut off my hair (probably because it was the ONLY thing I had control over). At the time it was well past my breasts. So over the course of two months and five haircuts I looked like a boy. I have seen the errors of my way and am now back on track. Patience, however, is no longer one of my virtues.

When one doesn’t completely love herself – I mean, all the beautiful as well as flawed (especially the flawed) aspects of herself, it makes it impossible to truly give and accept love from another, (excluding mother/child love, which surpasses all rationality). My mom always said “you have to love yourself before you can love anybody else”. Guess she was right this time…..
