make
my friend natalie and i took a one night class at make in dallas. it was a lot of fun and we learned a lot about basic stitches and how to operate a sewing machine. mine at home is quite old, but close enough that i think i will be able to use it (unless something breaks!)
recycling

i used to always recycle-then i stopped after i moved into an apartment-i started again. everyone should recycle—and reuse, reduce, etc. accumulating a lot of stuff for my art classes and for materials. i am observing a teacher this semester is who is a great example for recycling & reusing. she is awesome.
