It is rewarding.
I participate in a lot of theatre.
Last year I was working on “A Christmas Carol” (not my most mature role, granted), this seven year old I met at a church came up to me after a performance and says,
“I want to be just like you when I grow up”
later, when I saw her mother, her mom says to me, “You know our Lauren really does admire you…”
It was sweet.
I feel unworthy.
but I’m paranoid that somehow it will end up in the hands of those closest to me… and they will hate me forever.
