I’ve been helping others a long time with career advice, and yet for the longest time was poor on organization. I’ve been reading David Allen’s “Getting Things Done”, which has put into perspective the tools that when practiced, will give people greater control of their lives. It’s worth reading, then sharing the principles and personal experiences with others.

my best friend has been poor for a long time now waiting for loans to process as an officer. My roomate friend is practically bankrupt and his girlfriend is no fun, meaning if he did have money he could only seldom go out with me because of the associated “shit I have to deal with Cindy”.
My more wealthier friends live far away (2 hours to across the country).
And a beautiful friend I have is often so bogged down by work, long drives home, she hardly has time to hang with me.
So even if it’s just networking and charitable events, I want to make new friends that I can occassionally go out and do things with. Not bars and drinking, but any kind of cultural events.
I know it’s good to just go out and do things you like by yourself sometimes, but you know…it’s great to have good company too.
A lot about meditation is learning to breathe properly and consider the mind as a hotel lobby. People (Thoughts) can enter and leave. some stay longer than others.
It requires patience and practice more than anything to become adept. One should simply begin by casually observing one’s environment and the things going on around you. In time, your unconscious focus will become this utter awareness. With greater practice comes the next stage: your own personal spiritual experience.
