just dumped a ton of money into a rehearsal space and gear. if it doesn’t work out, who cares. I’m giving it my best.

but i can’t stop now. i love riding this bike. it’s a terrifying and exhilerating experience. i will fear and respect this cycle always.
i’m 26 and i FINALLY learned how to drive a stickshift. i figured since no one was going to teach me, i’d better go out and figure it out for myself. you’d be surprised what $100 gets you at a driving school. it’s weird, people would make fun of me for buying a volkswagen with an automatic. as though i should simply know how to drive a stick. mom and dad got rid of their manual transmissions long before i sat in the driver’s seat. so how the hell am i supposed to learn to drive stick without the car, or get the car without already knowing? $100 is a small price to pay to ride someone else’s clutch for an hour.
