As I get closer to eliminating my consumer credit card debt and learning how to be content without more “stuff”, I’ve been thinking about using my money for more noble endeavors, such as charity.
As a first step, I set-up an automatic monthly donation to the Maine chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It’s a small step (0.9% of my net earnings) but it’s a start.

While the painting isn’t exactly “hanging” on the wall, it is on the wall. We’re doing a Winnie the Pooh nursery for our son (due in April) so I painted Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger on the walls. The drawings are free-hand and painted in acrylic.

I’ve canceled Netflix and I can’t remember the last time I bought a DVD for myself, so I’ve managed to drastically whittle down the original few lists. This will be a good goal for my “enjoy the stuff I have instead of buying more” resolution for 2008.
