Well, I know it will not work. This realisation helps me to stop worrying. I feel better and like a weight is lifted. Our relationship not working was not my fault—it was just the fact that we are not quite made for each other. Now I can start looking at more interesting areas of my life and improving them.

I don’t even remember why I chose this, but the choice was rather prolific. When I made this goal I had many friends who cook amazingly and I wanted to measure up. However…
Since then, I have been living in places where it was nearly impossible to get good ingredients for cooking, where there was no running water or appropriately stocked kitchen, etc. I began to appreciate good food and love great food. Now I live in a large city and have a pretty good cook who makes most meals, but often the same things over and over.
Only recently have I begun cooking more, and for more people. It’s a real pleasure inviting friends in for even simple dishes like pasta. And since I live in a place where the supermarkets are wonderful and nearly everything is available I can really find great dishes to make.
