When I gave blood today I asked how I could find out my blood type. They told me when I receive my card in the mail in about six weeks it will have my blood type on it.

How I did it: Since this was my first time giving blood, I read up on it on the internet and pretty much knew what to expect. Yep, it all went as expected… until I was done and ready to leave. I got dizzy as soon as I sat up. You’d think I’d gone into cardiac arrest or something because in no time flat, two ladies were there and had me laying down on the table with cold, wet towels on my forehead and neck. I just found out there is a blood drive in town tomorrow afternoon. I am going to make every effort to cut loose from work early so I can do this.
I can’t believe it’s been four years (especially since “home” is only 2 1/2 hours away) but I am finally heading back to my hometown this coming weekend. I took Friday off work and plan on staying through Sunday. I’m actually getting a little excited!
