It made me 
How I did it: My birthday present from my super-awesome girlfriend was a restoration of my old college trombone. Quite a surprise! The spirit was willing, but the chops were predictably weak after a ten year hiatus. I plan to play a little bit every week to see if I can get back to my prior "kinda lousy trombone player" status.
