and so worthwhile. I downloaded a program from the web, arranged the photos and backgrounds I wanted (with some text) and sent it to be created. We should get it in the post this week sometime!

I almost didn’t get to making the meal this week and we are only 4 weeks in. Thankfully my daughter slept alot today so I got it done… I really really want to do this…
At my daughter’s birth I had a PPH (post-partum haemorrhage) and lost a significant amount of blood. This was a bit of a problem for me as I was anaemic during the pregnancy…
Next time I want to give blood the conventional way.
but they weren’t actual prizewinners, only shortlisted. They were good ones though…
(a) The chant of Jimmy Blacksmith – Thomas Keneally
(b) Never Let me go – Kazuo Ishiguro
(c) Mother’s milk – Edward St Aubyn
that does hot air balloon flights at dawn with a champagne breakfast. I bet their prices are sky high, but I may look into this for my husband’s birthday in June.
this doesn’t seem that appealing at the moment! I am struggling to make love anywhere, let alone under the stars! I sure hope I get some libido back once I have this baby out. My poor husband! We used to be everyday or every second day types, now it is lucky to be once a week and I know I’m not really putting much effort into it – probably makes it much less enjoyable for my husband.
but even though these photos are taken at home, with the camera in easy access, we are not that great at doing this either! I am now 33.5 weeks pregnant and I think the last photo we took was when I was 28 weeks. We really have to get on with this!
and they hadn’t been here for about 6 months. They were pretty shocked (in a good way) about how different everything is! We have bought a fair bit of new furniture (mostly self-assemble from IKEA) and finished all the painting. We kept the dining room, hall and office room in a neutral colour, but the baby’s room turned out a little brighter than I thought – an yellow colour – looks very fresh though. Also got some cute farm animal stickers to go on the walls. Looks good. Not really the kind of nursery you see in magazines – a much cheaper (and therefore unique) version of a nursery. We got hand-me downs for almost all our nursery furniture, pram etc, very blessed.
but ongoing. I hope to continue to bake lots and lots – so satisfying, especially to see people enjoying what you have made.
I go in phases – the latest is: gluten free upside-down pear cake, gluten free orange almond dessert cake, banana cake, and baked dinners. When this baby is born and a little bit older we are going to do lots of special baking for daddy! I got some cute cookie cutters – an elephant, crocodile, star and heart! I can’t wait.
I think I will mark this one as done, but ongoing. A barbecue is such an easy way to entertain – I’ve become the master at throwing together easy salads. Lots of fun!
and now I am sick of it! I am 31 weeks pregnant, have put on 13 kgs, but it is all on my bust and stomach, so I feel huge! Dr. isn’t worried about the weight gain at all but I just feel uncomfortable. It is summer here which makes matters worse. I feel itchy all over and have a heat rash…hurry up and come out baby. But having said that – I love feeling the baby move around, and setting up the nursery and counting down how many weeks I have left at work (7) and looking forward to holding my baby and seeing my husband getting excited.
“The Sea” by John Banville – pretty easy and thought-provoking read – really makes you think about life and death and meaning and memory. The only frustrating thing was the lack of chapter breaks, so you end up reading for a lot longer than you had intended – I read it in only 2 sittings!
The rain has been absolutely bucketing down here in Sydney and a rainwater tank would be filled to the brim. Unfortunately we have too many other financial committments at the moment.
I am really going to try and stick to this in 2008
Think I stopped sometime in mid-November with all the Christmas build-up etc. I really want to have a journal for 2008 too, but haven’t started yet! Maybe I will aim to start Feb 1st.
both a financial and practical decision. Since I got pregnant I was really too tired after work to go to the gym and now I am getting bigger and lugging this baby around, there is not a whole lot that I am able to do at the gym. I try to walk most evenings and want to do a little bit of swimming too instead of the gym.
after I realised I had achieved it. Probably defeats the purpose but anyway – I’m happy to encourage people to achieve their goals. Some people have some great goals and excellent ideas. I love looking at what others are doing.
