postcrossing.com is a free site where you can send and receive postcards. A very simple idea: after you have sent a card to someone that the system picks from the list then you are entered into the list to receive a card. Cards are sent to and arrive from all over the world. People write a message to you, which is generally about where they live, but could really be anything. I have found that after writing about my home town a number of times that I am having to think of more interesting things to say…..I sometimes describe it as ‘una-blogging’: a blog post that only one person (a random stranger) will read.

half way there. Am still sticking to making connections to people who I have physically met (with the occasional exception). It’s tempting to just add people I don’t really know, but that would be cheating.

we finally got ourselves organised and went to an Argentine Tango Absolute Beginners class. It was 2.5 hours, but great fun. I’m a bit like Lurch at the moment, but it is coming. if I could find a class during the day it would be great.
Am now looking at the 6 week beginners classes.
