How I did it: Well, my stepdad managed to get his grubby paws on a really splendid laptop. Top of the line mumbo jumbo. He wanted to sell it onto me for $300 but I hesitated. I didn't need anything really fancy - as long as I can do my writing and listen to music, it's all good from where I am.Then his mother came to visit. She loves top of the range tech, the best money can buy - not that she actually knows how to use it. It just looks nice in the liv… Read how I did it…

How I did it: So, I moved to Australia with no money, a heap of debt and totally unemployed.I had a few days of sitting around and hanging out, but threw myself into the job hunt as soon as.I used Seek and Gumtree to hunt out as many suitable jobs as possible and tidied up my resume. First stop: Perth

Moving to Perth in a couple of weeks.
Going to stay there for a week or so, check on the work situation and maybe move out into slightly more outback WA to work at a motel or a country pub.

In terms of this being finished, I’d mark it as done when the list I have in my head is ticked off.
It’s going down in the diary today. I’ll keep you posted.

finish my degree
So this is

A fairly epic task.
I ran away from Napier with a diploma and now I feel it’s time to start saving up the pennies to get that Bachelors.
I’ve really thought things over and, in a “if I don’t get where I want to be with my writing” kind of way, I really want to be a history teacher.
So I’m going to get my BA, then get my MA and then see where we’re up to.

I’m looking at the university of Melbourne, as they’ll take the credits I already have and let me major in history on a Bachelor of Arts course. Spending 2012 paying off my overdraft from the UK and saving up for this next phase in my life.

So I

Put on again over the last few weeks, just a kilo, but it’s still put me on a downer… yeah, I’m gonna blame Christmas!
Right back on it from tomorrow, especially as I’m moving to Perth in a couple of weeks!
Gym every morning, followed by an hour in the pool.
Only eating what my mum gives me again!
And no alcohol (very easy since I can’t spend a PENNY until I get to Perth on the 17th!)
SORTED.
