She said at the weekend that this is something she has always wanted to do but has never had the time to do. I’d like to treat her to it.

I used to write all the time, I enjoyed it, and now I never bother. I’m not saying I am a great writer but I used to enjoy it and it made me feel happy. I don’t know why I stopped. I should try to write something every week, just set aside an hour or so to write something and see how I get on.
The problems:
1. We are going days, weeks and months without seeing or speaking to friends and family.
2. With our jobs it is not easy to socialise, sometimes we don’t even see each other for weeks, let alone anyone else. And that is not an exaggeration.
3. Friends and family scattered around the UK and around the world, all with busy lives.
What I hope to do:
1. Make the effort to call more often – perhaps get the better phone tarif for calls before 6pm, this will help.
2. Send notecards to far away friends and family to keep them up to date.
3. Email is easy, use it more – can give everyone the link to the online photo album once that goal is up and running.
