In my hometown, which is a very typical suburban WASPy upper-middle class place, there is a psychic’s shop. I’ve always wondered how they’ve stayed in business with all the fundamentalists around, but more than that, I’ve always wanted to go and visit!
Not sure how much I believe in psychic abilities/gifts, but I’m open-minded and curious. :-P

So it’s been kind of a crazy year for me, personally, and I’ll be turning 26 in 46 days, so what better way to start off another year of life than by doing something wild and unusual?
I’m planning on getting decked out country-style, heading down to a western bar with some great friends, drinking a few beers and then riding that bull to celebrate! :)

My overall weight loss goal is to be 5’8” at 135 pounds and I have been hovering at 145 for close to 2 years now, which is actually a good thing, since I came down from nearly 160 pounds at one point. So having stabilized at 145 is a great victory, but it’s not my personal best.
I keep fixating on the number 135 and feeling rather defeated I’ve lost a lot of my motivation for the gym and other activities, so I’m scaling back and looking at the short term. Five pounds seems like nothing, especially when you’re as tall as I am – 5 pounds doesn’t make you look much thinner, but you can FEEL it, which is what this about anyway: feeling good.
For my first week, I am going to ramp up my gym time. I’m going to do the unthinkable for night owl like me and go to the gym BEFORE work (you have no idea how hard this will be for someone like me…no idea!). I figure changing my routine and the timing might give my metabolism a boost. Here’s hoping for the best!
