not a bad place, very diverse, even though politicians want to make Europeans believe that there is a “common European heritage”.
when you live there you kinda take it for granted though when you knwo what I mean.
I can definitely recommend spending some time here though if you have got the chance.

I just finished “The History of Love” by nicole krauss, really good book.
just started “The music of Chance” by paul auster, so far a real page turner

for those interested in sociological case studies I recommend “Seeling Crack in El Barrio” by Philip Bourgois, an important, but quite disconcerting read
