I hate manual. Haha – ok, so Im just a bit discouraged as you can see. I’m finding it so difficult to make it smoothly from neutral to first. Braking – I’m good, shifting to second – eh, doing alright..just taking off! Ahh. Maybe I just need practice! Thank goodness he is such a sweetheart and hasn’t yelled at me once. : ) I’m going to master this!

How I did it: A friend of mine took me snowboarding a few years ago at a huge hill near his house. I borrowed his sister's snowboard and went for it. How I did it: A friend and I packed our bags, threw everything we thought we might need into the back of my car, and drove up to northern michigan. My boyfriend is going to give me my second lesson! Im nervous. Actually, last time he tried to teach me I think I did pretty well except for a few hard shifts. I didn’t break the car – that’s always good. My current car is a piece of junk and has given me tons of problems so I’m looking for a new car. Im looking at a manual BMW – oh, I want it! I need to learn. I really want a manual – they just seem more fun to drive! And are better in terms of trans. repair. Right now I’m going to read up on some techniques so I don’t fail horribly tomorrow. Haha, I don’t think its as hard as people in the U.S. think – anyone can do it (I just have to keep telling myself that) I’ll let you know how it goes : )
