I did this because I felt terrible, and wanted to detox my body.
While I was on it for ten days, I felt GREAT!!!!!
My sinus and digestive problems went away.
But they came back as soon as I stopped, and also, and I hadn’t lost ANY weight, with the Cleanse, either…
I thought about this.
Eating = Ouch. Fasting = OK.
I started to realize that most of the problems I was having were linked to the food I was eating, with all of the symptoms happening simultaneously!
Eureka!
I took careful note of what I was eating.
High-fructose corn syrup (especially!) and other sugars, wheat, some dairy, chocolate, coffee, etc. were making me spastic.
At Christmas I had a melt-down.
Since my doc only wanted to put me on meds that address the symptoms and not the cause, I started looking elsewhere.
I realized that at 35, I couldn’t suddenly be “allergic’ to all of these things at once. I overheard something at a health-food store tha made all the sense in the world, so I researched it.
It turns out that I have an over-abundance of yeast in my entire body – bloodstream, muscles, organs, everything!
The sugars, wheat, etc. feed the yeast, which in turn releases toxic by-products of metabolizing that stuff into my body, and causing all of my symptoms, which are MANY and sometimes very scary. (dizziness, vision problems, wrenching stomach pain, sinus hell, weight gain, etc.)
Many Americans have this issue without realizing it, becuase our diets are so laden with grains and starches. Even mine, and I’m vegetarian. I think that perhaps even some people who are “allergic” to gluten just need to cut back on yeast-feeding foods, perhaps.
I am now starting something called the Body Ecology Diet, to fix my issue. It looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to get better.
If I hadn’t have done the Master Cleanse, I NEVER would have had the 10-day break from “normal” eating that helped me figure out my true problem! (one even my doc couldn’t figure out after an MRI and a CT scan!)
What a wonderfully unexpected side effect.
Do the Master Cleanse to detox your body, and then LISTEN to your body. It might tell you more than you think it can.
