We are looking at adding on to our house and we are looking at making it more energy efficient. Sealing the house better and putting in better insulation will help with the heating bill. Our electricity is already from wind, so while we like the idea of rooftop solar, the net marginal benefit of it CO2 wise isn’t high, though it has obvious local benefits. Likely getting a hybrid would reduce CO2 emissions more, at less cost even factoring the spending over 30 years. My son really feels we should have a hybrid.

How I did it: Long nights of either writing programs to remove duplicates or removing duplicates by hand. Cleaning data and running it through address & phone number list clean up services. We had three databases to merge and it wasn't pretty. Best to start with one database (CiviCRM seems nice) and keep to it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I found the person who put up the fence the 1st time (past neighbor and previous owner of the fence) and asked if he could help fix it (he does it for a living). Talked with neighbor about doing it and splitting cost. Brought all together to review what needed to be done, decide cost and set date. Made sure we met the date. Read how I did it…
How I did it: It was pretty specific to my setup. I had a CNAME entry setup for my top level domain, when I should have had an A record. See my blog post. Read how I did it…

The more busy I am with other things, the less I will surf the web. So time to stop worrying about what I don’t do and start on doing what I need to do.
