I love Portugal so much that if I could, I would spend the rest of my life there. But, visas and passports can be so pesky, dig? So, yeah. Love it. Miss it. Would go back in a heartbeat.

I miss the Azores. I want to move there again. I miss having the mountains and the sea all in one place. I even miss the torrential rain four months out of the year. I miss the herds of cows on the highway, I miss the language, I miss cheap coffee. I miss Europe in general.

So, I’ve always thought of myself as a good dog-mom. That is, until I had to move half-way around the earth and give my dogs to my mother. I miss holding them. I even miss having black hair all over everything I own. It’s been two years and I am still finding bits of hair in my laptop keyboard. But, there is nothing like snuggling with an adoring pup.
