Go through phase 1 of South Beach Diet
Day 1

I’m officially starting Phase 1 today. I made a special trip to the grocery store last night, even though I’m leaving for home tomorrow. I figure, I’ll be home (pretty much) for the next three weeks. There’s a different set of temptations at home, but I’m just going to tell my family that I’m doing this, so hopefully they’ll try to help me out some. Plus, I’ll be able to buy whatever food I want and cook while I’m home. Then, after three tricky weeks, I’ll be able to go to phase 2.

I’ve already eaten breakfast. It was way better than what I normally have—eggs with mushrooms and fat free cheese.
