I forgive myself for totally backsliding on my goals, but I won’t blame the fact that life has been a little chaotic. Even though that’s true, mini-goals and “coisinhas” need to be a more constant priority. (That was a gentle lecture to Self.)
7 recent coisinhas I noticed but failed to record here:
- the mini “panela de pressao” (pressure cooker) crafted from a Bohemia beer can that the man under the bridge made for me.
- the guy that was playing electric violin outside Mercado Publico the other day.
- that although it’s been pretty cold lately, it’s been sunny and cheerful blue (still).
- brisk night, red wine, and amazing cheese fondue in a cozy restaurant with exposed brick walls and a fireplace.
- being able to laugh (eventually) at my “debut” in the tabloid newspaper “Diario Gaucho”
- The Apartment Coincidence: I looked at an apartment in my favorite building in the neighborhood, kinda through a series of “chance” events – and even though I can’t afford the place, meeting the owner was a pleasant surprise. She’s a Travel Heroine and inspiration. I’ll meet her again for coffee and to interview her to write about her fantastic lifetime pursuits.
- The numerous opportunities I am afforded to practice Patience.
