After my jog across the Brooklyn Bridge I headed towards Chinatown for a massage and ended up at some no frills joint where for $20 dollars got the same massage that would have cost $75 at a spa. I can’t call it fantastic but I definitely left there feeling relaxed!

How I did it: I decided that this goal has been on my list way too long so I got dressed, took a bus to downtown Brooklyn and went for it. I won't lie, the first 5 minutes of (uphill) run were miserable, really, I cursed and bargained and had a million things going on in my head at once, but once I hit my stride it was fine and I felt silly for taking so long to complete this. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I simply took the subway to Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn and squeezed my way to the front of the sidelines. Then I yelled words of encouragement and support, I smiled, I clapped, I cried and even high fived runners as they ran by. Read how I did it…
I just made my first micro loan through Kiva today! I lent $25 to Nguyễn Thị Thanh of Đông Anh, Vietnam:
Thanh is married and has one young child. To making a living, Thanh operates a family member’s poultry business, where she raises and sells chickens. Thanh has been engaged in this business for over a year and earns approximately 2.000.000 VND a month from these activities.
In 2008, Thanh joined SEDA to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Thanh has successfully repaid a previous loan of 2.204.000 VND from SEDA. This previous loan was used to purchase chicks to raise and sell in the future. She is now requesting a new loan of 654.000 VND which that she will use to buy more chicks. This will be Thanh’s third loan from SEDA. Thanh plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve her family’s living conditions._
I found a great craft project at stylemepretty and made these over the weekend. I love the design of the paper and think that the pinwheels turned out quite nice. I turned them into a headband which I wore as part of my “Girl Who Tea’s” costume at my friends Alice in Wonderland themed party.
