Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Brazil. South Africa, UAE, Egypt. Malaysia, Australia, NZ South Island. These are places I’d like to visit, maybe get one or two countries in while I’m in the area—only be travelling for 2-3 weeks.

I’ve heard lots of people find people to stay with on couchsurfing.com, but I’m looking to find someone that’s already traveling solo in this vicinity-~~to help coordinate logistics/watch luggage/not see it solo. I’m not into the nightlife scene, but I like to hike, kayak, see things unique to the culture~~-generally be active in places I may never tread again. Too many of my friends are settling down with the raising a family bit…

I’ve just started swimming before work at the local pool. Running and biking has been put on hold, but setting the goal will give me something to shoot for. Looking forward to it!

I’m taking lessons at Harris Hill Glider Club. It’s tough to get lessons at the club since they are given by two instructors that are able to give lessons between those customers that are paying for rides. Still, the rates are reasonable and the people are great. I’d like to finish before it closes for the year, but that will be tough.
