Okay, I haven’t done this yet because I don’t like being outside when it is cold, and I don’t like getting bit by mosquitos, which are there when it’s warm.

I may actually buy a bat house and put it up, rather than build one. http://www.batroost.com/bathousesandfreebathouseplans.aspx has assembled bat houses for $45, unassembled for $40, so it makes sense for me just to buy one and put it up.
