research
Untitled

Specifically I would like to research and possibly write a book about my research of World War II events. I want to find stories of men who fought, what they did, how their family reacted, the intimate stories of their personal struggles and fears. I want to know more of that time.

Change my lifestyle
It's about time

I am finally getting myself into the groove of changing my lifestyle. I’m young and unhealthy. I eat all of the wrong things and am practically addicted to fast food. That is what the lifestyle of always being busy has gotten me, unfortunately. I am just trying to accomplish one small goal at a time or create one habit at a time. Ben Franklin did something like this—he wanted to be perfect so every week he started 3-5 new good habits then added more the next week. Minus the fact that I want to be perfect, it’s a good way to accomplish a goal.

see all 50 states
A lot of states left for me

My grandma who recently passed away traveled to almost all 50 states. I would love to do the same thing. Maybe not all now while I’m young, but definitely to make sure I do it as well when I’m older with kids or even when I’m retired! That’s so far into the future :o
Here’s where I’ve been (and I’m only counting those places I have actually stayed in, none of that lets drive through and stop at some tourist spot while commuting)

Florida – twice, once with my family and a second time with my family, but for a band competition
Hawaii – when I was 7, provided by the Make a Wish Foundation for my brother
Illinois – I’m here all the time in the Chicago region, but I’ve also been all over the place.
Indiana – I live here, so I’ve practically been all over the state
Kentucky – With a band trip once again, in Louisville
Massachusetts – I visited my aunt while she was attending Smith College here. Absolutely beautiful! We also checked out Boston—probably my favorite city next to Chicago for the old English American feel.
Michigan – I am here all the time in the summer going to the beach, fishing, and my favorite burger joint—Redamak’s
Missouri – I vacationed here with my family and went up the Arch. It was fun, and I was especially interested to see a McDonald’s on a riverboat.
New Jersey – Didn’t do much site seeing here, but I’ve been. And to anyone going to see the Statue of Liberty Go to the JERSEY side! You will be happy once it comes time to ride back to the main land.
New York – My parents and I practically got lost in this city driving around, but I saw a lot of amazing things. We went in July of 2001, and we ended up on the street of the Twin Towers and saw them up close and personal as well from a wonderful view on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty.
Ohio – I’ve been here with band and with family. It’s pretty much Indiana all over again.
Pennsylvania – This place was awesome! I’ve been to Gettysburg and we stayed at a bed’n’breakfast. It was so much fun seeing all the reenactments and going to all the historical sites!
Wisconsin – Took a huge family vacation here with all of my cousins, aunts, and uncles it was so much fun. Lots of fishing, relaxing, and swimming.

13/50—it must be the average number of states traveled to at this time.

I still need to these places:
